Startup "screen-saver" not appearing

So, on all KDE Plasma distros, I’ve noticed this annoying bug: the starting screen that appears after logging in before reaching the desktop doesn’t appear. It might appear initially, but then it disappears. Other times, more rarely, if it does appear at all, it only appears for a very short time (less than the usual length of time). Even changing the starting screen doesn’t change the situation; it doesn’t appear. This happens to me on all three arch-based distros: EOS, Arch, and Garuda.

Of course, the desktop environment is updated to the latest version. How can I fix it?

I’ll post a screenshot to clarify what I mean by “starting screen” (or screen saver):

Referred to (at least in the English versions of KDE Plasma) as the Splash Screen.
It might be worth noting this is not the same as a Boot Splash, like Plymouth.

I intentionally disable this so of course I have not noticed anything.

I did find some notes that seem to indicate it is affected by the “Global animation speed” set in System Settings. Is yours “Instant” or close to it? Does changing the option have any impact on the splash screen animation?

Another thought is SDDM. Maybe its backend? Maybe you might get different results by using Wayland?

No, I didn’t touch that value. I left it at its default value.

Screen

I added mouse click animation, translucency, blur and flickering windows, and cube animation for desktops as options.

PS: yes, I use wayland

Just to be clear - I was not referring to your desktop.
SDDM itself (the login screen) uses X11 unless configured otherwise.
