Splash logo on systemd-boot?

Ah just happy to stop playing with it :wink: now i need tinkering again :wink:

the binary have to be stored in the ESP or can it be somewhere in filesystem?

The boot animation theme is located in /usr/lib/firmware/{your_custom_boot_theme} that will be loaded by the kernel parameter bootsplash.bootfile=.

The boot animation file will be added into initramfs by initcpio-install-script

bootsplash.bootfile=bootsplash-themes/manjaro-man/bootsplash

it needs part of the path โ€ฆ

See how to create your own custom theme for any arch distros, not only manjaro.

You can use bootsplash-manager to test your custom theme if it looks good. It is available in AUR.

See options of bootsplash-packer for custom position and color of boot theme
