Spectacle screenshots

noticed when i take a screenshot with spectacle , my desktop is in the background , like the screenshot window is somewhat transparent ? Now if i set a delay then the screenshot comes out ok with no transparency?
for example , 1st screenshot was taken with no delay , 2nd screenshot with a delay.
I don’t see any settings in spectacles regarding that

2nd:

Doesn’t seem to be doing that when i use it. Have you checked the settings on spectacle.

i have , cant see anything relating to transparency

This is how mine is set.

By any chance, do you have Intel graphics and, if so, are you running X11 and do you have the xf86-video-intel package installed? That package has been known to cause somewhat similar issues. If it’s installed, try removing it…it’s generally not considered a very useful package these days.

yes i have .
can i just remove it ? do i need to install some other package ?

and mine

No, you can just remove it, that will fall back to the kernel’s modesetting driver.

The xf86-video-intel package isn’t usually needed these days.

not really a problem , i can set the delay for 1sec and its ok . Was just wondering if there’s some setting, or maybe it’s something with window manager settings and spectacle ?

ok , i’ll do that quick and test

Well, it was worth a try, anyway .

I don’t think it’s a settings issue - I can think of no valid reason anyone would want to have that occur when they take a screenshot. So it must be some type of bug.

maybe it’s a wayland thing lol, anyway , i can live with a 1 second delay
not gonna ponder on it anymore , thanks for the help !
