Sound does not play at the start of kde plasma

Since upgrading to Titan, I don’t know why (and I have all notifications enabled) the sound doesn’t play when Plasma starts. I’ve tried changing the sound theme, but nothing works.

Note: It’s strange that all the application and program sounds play, but the login sound doesn’t.

A mystery?

Regards.

Haven’t tested but perhaps here? (I’m pretty sure it isn’t set by default)

Thanks fo response, but is enable.

Nobody?

Maybe there isn’t a startup sound. When I look at system sounds (Settings->Colours and Themes → System Sounds), it only shows the notification sounds.

This is path /usr/share/sounds/ocean/stereo/desktop-login
But no sound when start o reboot o shutdown.

The other sounds work fine, but in any sound theme (Ocean Freedestop Deepin) the sound start does not work.

:frowning:

I think I found it!

Go to Settings → Notifications → System Notifications and select a sound for login. Click apply.

Done but no sound

It’s strange, but if I log out and log back in, I hear the startup sound.

After more fiddling about, I had to enable the user pipewire service by running systemctl --user enable --now pipewire.service and then reboot.

And…..

Thank for all, but is normal that problem, in earlie version (Mercury) dont problems.

Ok Richard, thanks a lot.

That did the trick for me too. I enabled sounds for login and logoff, but only when logging off the system sound was played. After I enabled the service now, I also have sound when logging into my system. Thanks, @MyNameIsRichard ! :+1:
