[Solved] Zoom package, not in endeavouros?

Hi, i was trying today to install zoom_x86_64.pkg.tar.xz for an internet conference with my doctor and it was impossible – she send me a link to my mail that redirection to the page where is this zoom packages to download it, but it never works.

What i did wrong?.

Thanks for any advice, commentary.

Hello, you need to download the zoom package using the AUR, in the console execute the following command yay -S zoom.

Let me know if that works!

my wife needed that package too she didnt know

but Zoom delivers package for all type of linux debian also arch.

just pacman -U (package) , but handsomer is taking from aur offcourse.

i need to register to test it in real with my wife :stuck_out_tongue:

i experienced when i pushed on the link a window popup and ask to start with zoom. i say ok… it came up but stil have to test fully currently

@juanprm Well, the package is already installed from AUR but the time for this internet conference is over … next time.

Thinking better … i think that it is not going to work since they are using microsoft once they send me again the link their system will redirect me to that page again [where they ask me for download zoom] there should be another way to …

Next time it want open xdg-open en xdg-open wil revert to zoom

Keos, zoom works well on Arch, it recognizes links and all just like Windows.

@nate the problem is that even having now zoom installed in my system i think that the software they have is not going to allow me to do anything except to donwload from their page the zoom … i will let you know next time…thanks.

you can test it to create a accound and make a link you send to your self and click it xdg-open pops up and you see zoom

@ringo sorry, no idea of what to do, i don’t understand, zoom is just a package, not an application … to send me a link? and open zoom?

if you have installed , it should react to this if you click on it :

it ask to open xdg-open something but zoom wil run

After click, this is what i got:

sorry i forgot the Adblock was …

stil not installed zoom ?

from aur or from that download you must install with pacman -U arch package

probably you have to check out adblocker mayby when needed.if blocks

The package was installed yestarday with optopi (i’m testing its …) and now when i checked is not there (?) so i installed again this time thus:

[keos@keos-pc ~]$ yay -S zoom
