[SOLVED] Thesaurus for libreoffice-still-25.2

LibreOffice works OK but there’s no thesaurus for Write. The only one mentioned in extensions is for version 4, the old school, and way out of date. Anyway it doesn’t show up in TOOLS/LANGUAGES or on right-click menu or anywhere.
I’ve been to the LibreOffice website forums and they don’t know either.
I first had installed the “fresh” version and then deleted it installed “still” but neither one has a thesaurus with the English dictionary. Although it says clearly, it’s supposed to.

If you know where to find a current thesaurus for the current version of Write, I’m all eyes :eyes:
I’m sorry, I forgot how to get the logs to show you.

How did you install LibreOffice?

What are the outputs of the following:

pacman -Qi libreoffice

and

pacman -Q | grep -A 0 -E "(libreoffice|mythes)"

If you don’t have mythes installed, you can install both it and libmythes, then close and reopen LibreOffice and try again.

sudo pacman -S mythes libmythes

It is strange, though, because I have neither mythes nor libmythes installed and things work fine, which is why my first question is about how you installed it. I use the official Arch package for LibreOffice Fresh.

OK when I ran sudo pacman -S mythes libmythes something changed because I now have the thesaurus. Thank you so much! :grinning:

You’re welcome.
