Solved Taskbar Icons Disappear When Hovered - KDE

Hello,
Today I did a system update with “pacman -Syu” and was initially pleased that my second monitor was working normally again via DVI. Anyway, after restarting I noticed the following.
The icons in my control bar disappear as soon as I hover over them with the mouse cursor and gather on the bar at the top right. I have already completely removed the bar and set up a new bar but the problem still exists.
I’m not sure what information would be most helpful, so I made a quick video of the behavior of the icons.

If the above doesn’t work, and you are using Wayland, please log out, select “Plasma (X11)”, then log back in to see if the issue is still there.

If you are already in X11, or you’ve already tried it, please let us know.

I noticed some oddities just now after updating and restarting also, under X11. A very slow log-in, displays were reversed and misaligned, and it took a while for my auto-start apps to present.

I wonder given it’s specifically post-update in both our cases, it may be a (hopefully) passing issue.

I only use the X11
I’ve never used Wayland.
I also tried the possible solution from the link and changed the /.config/kdeglobals. I restarted and the problem still persists.

Are you using a desktop or laptop with a connected monitor?

If you are using a laptop, try removing the monitor connection when your device is turned off, then boot up and see if it still happens.

It seems that it may be monitor-related somehow, rather than Wayland/X11-related.

the problem seems to have been resolved.
I read your first link carefully again. Adding the lines to the kdeglobals didn’t work for me. However, removing:

[QtQuickRendererSettings]
RenderLoop=basic
SceneGraphBackend=opengl

solved the problem for me.
