Trying to use LibreOffice and Endeavouros is proving to be problematic .
The issue is trying to read the options on LibreOffice pop-up menus which are always translucent and therefore difficult or impossible to read. I’ve shown an example of this in LibreOffice Calc( see image below). Plasma and browser menu pop-ups are always opaque and easily read.
In LibreOffice I’ve managed to open Tools->IOptions->Appearance, but trying different configurations there makes no difference. Switching to Manjaro distro (on Plasma), there this issue does not occur. So please, how do I fix this, or is it a bug?
The provided image is clearly heavily themed plasma setup. Plasma allows theming freedom but there’s no guarantee that the 3rd party themes provide a good experience.
Either change to the plasma default theme, which is supported and works, or file a bug report to whoever is responsible for that theme.
When you say running kvantum, I have used it in the past, but although it’s still installed I’m not using it in theming, eg currently using Breeze Dark. I’ve just removed Kvantum and it’s made no difference to the issue, so nothing to do with that.
However, I’ve just discovered that if I use Breeze under ‘Application Style’ in ‘Colours & Themes’, that’s what caused the issue. Switching to any of the alternatives in there caused LibreOffice to produces dark pop-up menus with white font options now clearly displayed. So it appears that’s what’s needed if you want to use a dark icon theme in LibreOffice as I’ve been using so far.
