I really liked it back in 2016-17 when I tried it. I just needed more power user stuff, so ended up switching to Antergos.
I think it’s a magnifcent distro. I also think Ikey and Josh are visionaries in a linux world that needs more of those.
Budgie is the flagship. It renders quite lovely. You will never get anything close to an AUR but it’s a whole other thing.
It’s a committed independent who are not under the guise of a nation-state of support (deb, fed, etc).
I installed their brand new XFCE on the same disk as Endeavour. It’s not budgie. but it’s cute. But man, it’s still XFCE. you know what I’m saying?
Even Endeavour budgie and Solus budgie are distinct.
Independent means you may have to fight, claw, and scream to get some peripherals installed (printer, scanner, etc) but they will install after lager.
I endorse it sober as well.
You will not find a better budgie experience.
