(1/3) Running snapmate

and i don’t find any issue.

maybe anyone can help me, i’m a beginner here.

I have never heard of snapmate but I guess it is taking a timeshift snapshot?

What kind of snapshots do you have setup with timeshift? Have you ever taken a snapshot before or is this the first one?

i don’t have used it anymore. i just installed Endeavouros freshly and tried to update my system after loosing audio and bluetooth .

so maybe i can remove timeshift to complete this update ??

i just look at timeshift and it’s running in background… so i think that’s the issue !!! my computer is verry slow and i think that it’s the only problelm lol !!!

thank’s for helping !!! i just have to wait and see now

Welcome to the EndeavourOS forum. :handshake: I hope you enjoy your time here.

I hope this takes care of your problem.

If you are taking an rsync snapshot and it is your first one, it might take some time, especially if your storage is slow.

Thanks for your answers

i found this to resolved my mistakes !!!

To prevent snapshots from being created during updates in EndeavourOS, you should disable the automated snapshot feature provided by timeshift-autosnap or snap-pac, depending on which tool you are using.

If you are using timeshift-autosnap, it creates a snapshot before each package update via a Pacman hook. To stop this behavior, remove the timeshift-autosnap package entirely:

sudo pacman -Rc timeshift-autosnap

This will prevent automated snapshots during system updates.

If you are using snap-pac instead, which creates pre- and post-update snapshots via Pacman hooks, you can disable it by removing the package:

sudo pacman -Rc snap-pac

This will stop the automatic creation of snapshots before and after any pacman transaction.

Note that disabling these tools does not affect manually created snapshots, which can still be managed using snapper directly or through a GUI like btrfs-assistant. Additionally, if you are using BTRFS with snapper, you can also adjust the snapper configuration to control the timing and frequency of snapshots, including disabling scheduled snapshots.

i will try this and i’ll come back to give you my final solution ^^

You are using snapmate so if you don’t want those snapshots, simply remove snapmate

sudo pacman -R snapmate

But if you didn’t want those snapshots, why did you install it in the first place?

it was a snapshot ^^ and everything goes right now

update and upgrade are working now !!!

the title is update !!!

thanks for your support dalto <3
