Sleep, Hibernation, etc. not working?

I installed EndeavourOS on a 2018 MacBook Air, and neither sleep nor hibernation are working. When I press sleep or close the lid, it simply logs out, freezes, then reboots. My desktop environment is KDE Plasma, I’M using EndeavourOS “Galileo” and the T2Linux kernel.

Even when I run systemctl suspend, it reboots

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have sufficient swap for hibernation?

Thanks! Yes, but it happens regardless of whether its hibernation or not

Occasionally it blows the fan really loudly for about a second before rebooting. It could be driver related but I’m unsure. I have tried modifying logind but that doesn’t change anything.

Here to report that I seem to be having a similar issue on the HP ZBook Firefly 14 G10 A. I’m pretty sure that it only happens with the latest LTS and regular kernels, after the most recent update (6.6.6 and LTS 6.1.67). Whenever the laptop sleeps (whether manually or after inactivity), it seems to just reboot once I wake it. I have no swap (32 gb of ram), but I don’t use hibernation.

Edit: I’ll make a separate post since I’m using a different kernel

Hibernate stopped working on my Asus Tuf A15 Laptop after update to Kernel 6.6.6. It was working before. When I hibernate and resume, the system hard reboots into a fresh session. Also while resuming, I see check disk running in boot log.

The hibernation issue seems to be due to recent update of systemd as reported here:
https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/hibernation-stops-working-after-last-upgrade/48817/10

Reinstalling systemd and related packges (systemd systemd-libs systemd-resolvconf systemd-sysvcompat) fixed the issue for me.

I don’t know if it is that. It might be, I’ll try it.
