Sincere apology

2 days ago I switched to Fedora 42 KDE and it still runs. Don’t have any issues so far. I used EOS before and yes, Fedora is different. But I got used to it. Don’t know what issues you had. I’m using an AMD graphics card. Are you using Nvidia?

Before installing Fedora 42 I tried openSUSE Tumbleweed KDE and had many issues. Right after installation I tried to modify the panel, but system got frozen. Tried again after reboot and again the system got frozen. For me, openSUSE was a pain. But I remember my last installation some months ago. I hadn’t such issues …

I have been using Fedora pretty much since 2003 when it was 1st released.I have pretty much learned it is what ever we get used to as I also have been using Manjaro on another computer for almost 6 years. Not to talk down about EndeavourOS I also have it installed and it is also a great system.Maybe wrong for looking at it that way but the forum here is one of the best things I like about EOS as the people here are very friendly and it does not seem everyone is so serious. As I am getting older I have learned to not be so serious as I enjoy having a good time as with Linux.I hope my system doesn’t break today but if it does it does I will not stress getting it back up and running.

Oh well, as for EOS, and especially KDE Plasma, I’ve also installed EOS with KDE on a mini PC, an Intel N95 (basically a quad-core) with 16 GB of RAM and an integrated Intel graphics card, and everything runs perfectly and without a hitch.

Obviously, you can’t expect anything special from the applications side, but for normal operation without heavy workloads, it’s more than fine.
