I’m using niri (version 26.04) with Dank Material Shell (version 1.6.2) and basically everything has been going well except one thing. My laptop’s (an IdeaPad Slim 3 15ITN9) touchpad doesn’t have a right click button and I can’t figure out how to right click without that.
On xfce there’s a setting that allows you to have double clicks register as right clicks, so I’m hoping there’s a way I can do that on here. DMS does have a mouse and touchpad section in settings but it doesn’t have anything about simulating a right click.
I’m not sure what other info to include about my system but if ya want any more info, I’ll be cool with providing it.
I’ve been trying to look for solutions myself but searching stuff about the issue keeps giving me results that don’t apply at all. I’ve also tried using the python mouse module/library/whatever they call it to simulate a right click with a keyboard shortcut, but that failed because accessing the mouse with a python script requires sudo and I don’t know how to get around that.
I think there’s probably a simple solution that I’ve just been missing, hence me posting on here. Any input on this will be very much appreciated.
UPDATE: I figured out that the bottom part of the touchpad works as the right click button. (I was so used to it being the top that I didn’t realize it could have been the bottom.)
