Signal-Desktop causes error "/usr/bin/xdg-mime: line 885: qtpaths: command not found"

I switched to the flatpak version of signal which has been working flawlessly. Signal is one of the very few flatpaks I have installed. Signal is maintaining the flatpak version.

The source code comes from the official repo but the flatpak version is not officially distributed and maintained:

You are right, that main flatpak contributor does not appear to be member of the signal org.
