The icons on panel bar used to be “normal size” but suddenly they are rather small. Did it happen to you?
How do I get the icon size back to normal?

In the config file ~/.config/i3/config changed this
font pango: Noto Sans Regular 10
to
font pango: Font Awesome Regular 12
and reloaded i3wm by typing
meta + shift + r
Now the size of the icons match the text on the i3bar.
Also one needs to make sure awesome-terminal-fonts is installed.

issue come with installing other icon-font packages.
setting iconic font in the config could cause p.e. numbers looking wrong in the result …

i do not see huge difference… only that it seems smaller setting awesome for the bar font
