I have always used D’addario guitar strings, but for a change I decided to try these Martin Retro’s. They say these strings have warm natural tone, the guitar’s true voice. I was little bit sceptic at first, but now when I have played with these I must say I’m sold. Fantastic sound!

I’ve had some good experiences with WebStrings; I have these on my acoustic (with some added brass pins) and they produce a good sound. Although, the last time I bought some they were slightly expensive to import to the UK they still worked out cheaper than D’Addarios etc. overall.

Just be careful of the caltrops.

I just checked those Webstrings and they certainly are cheap. But how cheap are they in the end if you have to order them from abroad?..

If I get six sets of strings it’s about $40 including shipping (though not taxes) which works out at about $6.60 a set (or around £5). A set of D’Addario is around £8 from Amazon, so still cheaper overall as long as I buy a few sets at once.

I’m very lazy to change strings. I prefer strings that will last long. I read that those Martin’s will last longer than many average strings so I don’t actually mind if they cost more…

My current set of WebStrings strings have been on the guitar for… six years? Eight? No idea. :money_with_wings:

Given I don’t know where the other sets of strings are now I’m not sure it actually did work out any cheaper…

Six years? I usually change strings once a year. I’ve always thought that’s ridiculously long time to play with same set…:joy:

Back to international travels after more than one year. Needs a new portable storage device. 500Gb, USB-C 3.2. Very Small in size. Nice.

Congrats!

Wow it certainly dwarfs that WiiU in terms of size…
(btw at last I found another WiiU owner, besides myself :joy:)

Did you hack yours?

Mine has been played pretty frequently as I found there to be enough awesome games to get stuck into.

Though will be interested to see how long my son is distracted by the PS5 until he wants to continue with Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.

Was a pleasant surprise that I managed to order one, as they only drop once a month in Thailand and there’s a lot of demand.

It has CFW, but aside from toying around with Nintendont, I haven’t used it much.
Still prefer playing my GameCube games on the actual GameCube console, on a CRT :slightly_smiling_face:

I just need a good noise cancellation, good music and no too much pressure on my ears. Seems perfect!

Do you mean the PD2700U? I also have it on my shortlist. However, we unfortunately hear that BenQ does not attach much importance to the longevity of their products. I had to experience this myself with several mice (Zowie).

Edit: Sorry, should have read further …

Vacation on mallorca and greece island kos.

A new Smartphone from my brother. Its a S20+
