Shortcut key cmd to open current folder's Terminal

Whats the command to open current folder’s terminal using custom shortcut key

That depends on your file manager. I know in Dolphin, the default for that is Alt+Shift+F4. Also, just pressing F4 opens the embedded terminal, which will auto cd as you navigate through the directory tree.

thanks but it didn’t worked on mine…
MIne is gnome

Your file manager is then most likely called Nautilus. Look it up online. I haven’t used it in 5-6 years, and I don’t remember what the keyboard shortcut is for opening the terminal. Maybe someone else knows.

I’m sure it has one. ɢɴᴏᴍᴇ sucks, but it doesn’t suck that much…

You still have to specify the file manager used. Are you using nautilus?

Its grep

And is there any desktop environment where i an Modify all of myy desktop

??? Huh? What?

[diyash@diyash-nitroan51555 ~]$ ps aux | grep file-manager
diyash 25741 0.0 0.0 6976 2560 pts/2 S+ 11:48 0:00 grep file-manager

opps sorry i dont know which one i m using

Just open it, and look for about screen, probably in the help menu

If you’re using ɢɴᴏᴍᴇ, it’s almost certainly Nautilus, that’s the default one. If you right-click somewhere in the empty space in the current “folder” view, does the pop-up menu have an option “Open Terminal Here” or something like that? Is there a keyboard shortcut next to it? This is how it looks in Dolphin on KDE Plasma:

Surely, something equivalent exists in Nautilus…

If you’re looking to customize the behavior of a GUI application, it can usually be done in something like “Preferences” or “Settings.” Look through the options in the menu bar and look for “Preference” and then “Keyboard Shortcuts” or sth like that.

mine is like this

Look at the buttons on the top right corner.

If it doesn’t, I think the OP might as well ditch that file manager…

can i shift to another desktop environment ???

And ɢɴᴏᴍᴇ…

Personally, I think you would like KDE Plasma more. But I’m a bit biased, I think everyone would like KDE Plasma more.

Yes you can. You can switch to any environment you desire. I personally don’t use a DE, but I highly recommend KDE if you are looking to use one.

Yeah i dont like it now i ws thinking to shift to anothe rone but as a newbie i didn’t how to do it
