My Linux systems are 100% secure … UNTIL I plug them into the network and connect to the Internet. And there are a lot of positives living off the grid

I just finished scrolling through this ENTIRE thread at 1 AM and I have no regrets, haven’t laughed this hard in a while. Or laughed at all should I say…
Love you all.
I stumbled on this thread a few weeks back and did exactly the same thing.
No regerts.
You use Gentoo because you couldn’t really understand how NixOS/Packages works without proper documentations.
Tried NixOS, didn’t fit my style but it was OK.
What’s that package? Sounds interesting
As a fellow Gen Z representant, I can confirm the computer illiteracy occurs in my generation as well.
Hard to comprehend bearing in mind most of us have been using computers since our youngest years.
Perhaps it was the hours spent tuning our autoexec.bat and config.sys files, so we’d have enough available conventional memory to load that new DOS game a mate gave us on a brick of floppies as an ARJ archive. Yeah, we knew what C drive was
As someone from Gen Y, I can confirm that most of the people I know, both personally and professionally, are computer illiterate. Most of them only know how to do what they need to do for their jobs or a specific skill, like animation, art, and graphics.
Sadly, age doesn’t matter.
