I use the good old LTS kernel.

I used to run with nitrous which is a kernel optimized for Skylake X and newer. It used to stutter under heavy load which was hilarious.

$ inxi -S
System:
  Host: PC1 Kernel: 6.6.30-1-lts arch: x86_64 bits: 64

So why “cachyos” kernel?

Also how do I get that nice picture instead of ASCII art when using fastfetch?

Yea, my question are why I’m still using vanilla bash… kitty seems maybe even better than zsh. Wonder how kitty works out on TTY session through. First time hearing about kitty.

I use arch btw kernel, sometimes ZEN when it works (had boot issue not long ago with it), and LTS kernel as a fallback. And currently compiling AUR linux-mainline to check it out. Forgot to change pkgbuild gcc thread count, so it will take long time to compile kernel in single-thread. :sweat_smile:

I saw dalto say somewhere that low-power users should always use the LTS kernel.

I always do what dalto says.
