It’s theme related and material-you-colors settings.
Apply to pywal and follow color scheme did the trick
EDIT: And set panel colorizer to default

Great, thanks! Found it here:
And I see it’s available in the AUR. I think I might have some tinkering to do over the weekend!
Panel-colorizer and Material-You.-Colors are in the AUR
. I have it installed from there so i get everytime i update an update from.
The tools from luis are really great.
When it comes to customizing, Plasma is not my favorite but, as a desktop overall, it has really grown so, I’ve been running it for the past few months. While there are desktops that are easier to customize (my opinion), The Big Sur Dark theme with just a little “seasoning” from Kvantum makes for a very nice desktop that auto-adapts to different wallpapers very nicely. Overall layout is just my preference for ultra-wide monitors.
Probably simply KISS
I like KISS
ing, simply!
Good to know thank
So I have kde-material-you-colors
and pywal
installed. Rebooted. Looks really good on default settings. But, where would I find these settings…
@swh EDIT: Nevermind, I suspect the settings are right in front of me? Still, how to get the settings pictured above?
Material-You-Colors in the color settings are perfect. Take a look for Material-You widget/plasmoid. There you can find the settings. I have added the widget/plasmoid to the panel so that I can make settings at any time
The grey icons in the panel are material-you and panekl-colorizer. Click on them to either switch them on or off (panel-colorizer) or to change the settings (Material-You)
OK, so I have installed KDE Material-You-Colors and Pywal along with the Material-You widget/plasmoid. Material-You-Colors is set to autostart. Tinkered a bit and I like what I have so far. It’s been a while sicnce I used a dark theme. Now, I need to find a way to get the apps menu and top panel into a frosted/blurred state. Still, I really like how this is coming along.
Thanks @swh!
Try the PurPurNight Theme I’ve posted above. And then, happy tinkering
You need a colorscheme with some blur, I haven’t figured out how to do that yet for myself. Until then I’ll use one from pling. I still don’t understand the codes in the colorschemes. I’ll have to really get to grips with it
pywal is needed ? still can’t get transparancy to work.
It is a dependency of Material-You-Colors
That one i already installed, feel like a total moron right now lol.
This is wat i have installed so far:
yay -S plasma6-applets-panel-colorizer kde-material-you-colors Krusader python-pywal16
Pure dark them i installed manually because installing the theme from within KDE gives me errors since i started with endeavour without customizations (clean install) (network errors).
Once you have activated purpurdark, try to have the panel colorizer load the default theme
If it works, everything is fine, if not, you need to make further settings. Play around with it a bit
Thanks will look into it.
NOW I’m done… for now. Changed the top panel config, changed to Ars-Dark icons, Ars-Dark Color Scheme, Ars-Dark Global Theme, and tweaked KDE Material You Colors a bit more.
@swh, thanks for pointing me in the right directions for dealing with KDE Material You Colors!! I think I have it just as I want it.
Damn that looks pretty nice. Well done mate
See you tomorrow
