Lilidog really is awesome! Here is a screenshot of the latest release [25.01.25], almost exactly as it appears upon installation. I changed only the wallpaper (to one of the many supplied wallpapers) and the theme (to one of the many supplied themes).

Lilidog is under very active development, as you can see in this release announcement:

https://forum.lilidog.org/d/413-new-lilidog-bookworm-releases/321

The developer [sleekmason, who is an actual stonemason in Arkansas] has developed a huge number of useful scripts that do such things as change (and modify) themes or set the autologin user.

Perhaps the best thing about Lilidog is its small, very friendly community. There are currently only 93 forum members. I recognize some of their usernames as also being on the EndeavourOS forums.

When I first arrived at Lilidog, I asked sleekmason whom he envisioned as the target audience for the distro. He replied he that he is developing Lilidog for the forum members rather than for any particular type of user. sleekmason is extremely receptive to suggestions for improvements. Indeed, every one of my suggestions has been implemented, and every bit of code I have written has been incorporated into the distro.

Completely new installation with fastfetch installed, all is apparently missing a font in the fetch does anyone know which one I need to reinstall?

To show symbols and icons in Fastfetch, you need a nerd font. There are many from which to choose.

Very sleek Xfce config. I like it very much.

Remember starting with FVWM in the 90’s. Glad to see it’s still out there.

  • Could a moderator unmark that so this thread doesn’t close after 2 days?

Quick update:

  • Klassy was broken with the recent KDE Plasma 6.3. Developers are awesome, providing an update so quickly.
  • Tweaked Klassy to my liking. Set Klassy System Icon Generation to Tela.

Now I am curious to try it. Looks beautiful, simple

Since catppuccin is no longer available as of kde 6, I built it myself. Catppuccin Macchiato Color Palette , Beautiful Yaru Icons, Panel Colorizer Klassy Application Style for window borders
Done. Simple. Pretty neat

I can tell this is a great deb fork.
And what you wrote? That is really the beauty of Linux, and living, isn’t it?
I, too, since 2017, have been in, as you have, to this to a fledgling distro, independent, started by an infamous Irishman. After enough time passes it becomes an incredible thing, doesn’t it? Even a larger joint like Endeavour, the same.

nice! my suggestions ave been taken along the way, too

blows my mind. I recognize 3-4 from here on solus too

this is about as honest an answer as a creator who is an artist (a stone mason) could give. Doesn’t strive for a million bucks, doesn’t want to disappear. Is only there for the community. Could be around for another 10 yrs, could disappear in a month. the Linux community is nothing if not fascinating.
Thanks for sharing all that.
