Nothing too exciting—standard KDE with a few adjustments.
breeze
)papirus-icon-theme
)XFCE + Kwin. Absolutely stunning, might make a guide on this later on.
Performs very well on this old x230 that is my tried and true testing machine (before installing things on my newer daily driver). Here’s a 48fps video uploaded to the first video upload site I found: https://streamable.com/wrz2ua even there you can see the buttery smoothness.
Kwin just feels so nice to use, but I’m not a fan of the Plasma shell.
finally i got shaddow on my i3wm
without screen flickering
kwin + xfce sounds rather interesting. I have xfce + compiz on a couple of systems - I wonder how it compares? Would be interested in a guide to producing it - then maybe I could produce a comparo?
Compiz is also quite nice; I’m using Kwin because of it’s easy scrip-tability and the fact that it’s much more actively maintained, being a core part of Plasma.
Almost 00:00 here now, kinda have a headache… I’ll make a post on it tomorrow and link it here.
Oh, and I did get around to reproducing the same setup on my other laptop. Still loving it! Using DockLike this time. Very nice.
(and yep, finally actually using enOS. Turns out the online installer is super-awesome, and lets you untick packages. I unticked anything font related, set it up myself, works perfectly).
Gnome40 with a working dash to dock
even intelligent autohide works;

Back to Gnome again (for how long…? )
But honestly, I love Gnome and GTK - it’s so…slick.
still enjoy Gnome
Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon
I too am enjoying gnome (even if I don’t want to ) Oh yeh and I used your wallpaper! I hope you don’t mind!
you use PoPshell ? less use of mouse +move windows It make gnome great for me
I thought I’d give real gnome a try first. Pop Shell next!
pop shell doesn’t play nice with gnome’s own apps on G40 though…
(gnome file manager, terminal etc…)
nothing really breaks, but the windows get arranged weirdly…
other apps work perfectly fine
@Krimkerre
working ok for me . zero problem so far
nice tune
is that nautilus you’re using, or is that a different file manager?
I only have it when using gnome’s built-in apps like nautilus and gnome-terminal
firefox, kitty, and basically everything else that wasn’t built in works fine
yes that nautilus. i no use gnome-terminal ( no like but it work fine )
