I’m thinking about giving BSPWM a try too…
Growing a bit bored of my AwesomeWM setup on my old Latitude.
That old laptop could do with something lighter too

If I could use awesome I would. It is just me that find it so different to stuff like bspwm or I3wm. You can achieve way more on awesome from what i’ve seen but the wiki all hurts my head ;(

Q: “How long do I have to concentrate?”
A: “At least 10 minutes.”

uses only 165MB RAM that’s slick!

could you share your config, interested in the config for waybar, i have had hard times to try it …

That arm device could easily have entire root copied into RAM (some tmpfs mountpoint). With some hourly sync back to non-volatile memory (even SD card). That could boost its speed imensly after it boots up. I will try it one day™.

Would my dotfiles be okay… https://github.com/OdiousImp2604/PersonDotfilesSwayWM
You’ll need some fonts…I really need to update my Readme but all the stuff you want is there. I find waybar way (pun intendned) easier than polybar. But that’s just me. CSS styling makes stuff a lot better or at least easier.

Config and CSS are for the bar you see in the forum post you replied for
Config2 and CSS2 is for the bar in my previous post

I’m starting to like Gnome. I just wish I could use the xorg touchpad driver there or disable palm detection. Gnome looks pretty slick with simple themes
