I’m not having a go at you for using Windows if that’s what you thought. Although your maturity comment doesn’t make any sense because of my other comment referring to plenty of people theming their Linux desktop to look exactly like Windows for fun.
You can also theme your Windows desktop, so that it doesn’t look like the default Windows look desktop.

Damn, I had not heard about Pluton before this, so thanks @fbodymechanic! One more reason to cement my decision to never go back, although I’m not sure if my laptop has this “feature”.
Ryzen 6000+ and Intel 11th gen and newer all have it.

Well, if it requires patching system files, that’s not a good idea.
That was how I managed to brick my Windows 7 installation back in the day.
Actually, I’d argue that using Windows in 2025 without a valid reason is not a good idea, but… to each their own, I suppose.

I don’t use Windows but I was just giving someone else an idea of how they could theme Windows.
What I linked to is in the Windows Store, so it’s been approved by Microsoft if it’s there.
