shoutout to @uncelspellbinder credited for the badass artwork/wallpaper of Grand Rapids, Michigan (proudly my city) w/ the EOS logo on it

i have walked in almost all the areas of that photo and driven on the streets around there. it looks so cool the purple & blue glowing and refelecting off the water and what not.

last one but i do love simple application launcher. simple & sleak.

my friend i will never forget almost drown in the grand river. i believe that is it. he was drinking at the time so that didn’t help. he since then has quit drinking.

never stayed in one of those fancy hotels though i am sure it would be fun.

Rather minimal, and Cinnamon (coming from Mint, so I don’t have to rethink; but I’ll give new Plasma a spin, too). And I hate the space-wasting large file manager icons, so it’s always list view for me. Background currently a slide show (changes every 15 min), haven’t decided on a final candidate yet.

Launcher with buttons containing xfce4/bash calls…

Provides easy access to various actions/states (HTPC used from across the room with an airmouse), like this one that toggles presentation mode on/off then rewrites the button to reflect current state:

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Type=Application
Name=Display\nWakeful
Comment=enabled
Exec=/bin/bash -c " xfconf-query -c xfce4-power-manager -p /xfce4-power-manager/presentation-mode -T; [[ $(xfconf-query -c xfce4-power-manager -p /xfce4-power-manager/presentation-mode) == true ]] && sed -i 's/preferences-desktop-display-nightcolor$/display-brightness/; s/Sleep$/Wakeful/' ~/.config/xfce4/panel/*/DisplaySleep.desktop || sed -i 's/display-brightness$/preferences-desktop-display-nightcolor/; s/Wakeful$/Sleep/' ~/.config/xfce4/panel/*/DisplaySleep.desktop "

That is kind of bash wizardry, right there!

MX is such a cool distro. I can recall time when I used it as a daily driver and I had no issues with it.
I probably wouldn’t use it as a daily now since bspwm and terminal-focused workflow captivated me completely, but it’s still very nice.

Yes, I have been on it for some time.
The most interesting thing I liked about it is the possibility to create a snapshot from the installed system whether an OEM to distribute to anybody or with your own settings.

I really wish to see this app in any Arch based distro and specifically in our EndeavourOS.

I feel like a script kiddie from the 00’s.
First time with hyprland.
RTFM for every step, every move, every breath… :stuck_out_tongue:

Have I fraked up my kde configs? Oh yes :nerd_face:
Do I feel ok? hmm yes :face_with_peeking_eye:

Anyway:
