Apparently not. The Discourse team couldn’t replicate the error and they have advised us to reinstall the forum again. To make sure I didn’t mess things up the last time, @dalto did it now, but with the same outcome.
The other advice was that if it didn’t work, we have to rebake all posts and that will take some days. (But it is a background task, so the forum stays available.)
To be clear, that is built in to discourse. It isn’t disabled, it just isn’t working.
A little improvement is there, see my last post w. an image, I uploaded just now.

Okay, that is browser behaviour, I thought you were talking about the Discourse Lightbox function… My bad.

That’s an uploaded one. I linked one from a web-url…
so even new uploaded images aren’t working

Let us pray it will be a stable background-task, not messing up the forum in any way.
It will be, I did it before and none of you complained about the forum being broken during that period.
