i was used to simplescreenrecorder but it’s not available for kde or wayland , is there a similar SIMPLE screen recorder for kde / wayland ? I don’t need anything fancy , i saw OBS but it looks overkill for my needs.
I have searched , but would like some input from someone who’s actually using a simplescreenrecorder “alternative”
edit: ah i see now spectacle also records screen , but the output is jerky , not smooth …
Personally I mostly just use OBS because I’m used to it, but in my experience GPU Screen Recorder is a solid and simpler alternative. It’s in flatpak and the AUR.

Oh, I forgot, yes there’s the CLI core but also GUI frontends. You’re probably looking for gpu-screen-recorder-gtk.
seems being replaced with gpu-screen-recorder-ui , which i installed now too but still doesn’t show anywhere in my apps .
i’ll keep on looking , thanks anyway 
Yeah, they introduced that second GUI which is more “gamer centric” without an app, but a background service and hotkey activation. The “classic” UI works fine though. Wouldn’t be surprised if that gets reversed - the new stuff is very cumbersome. Imho.

I use Kooha and it works well for on Wayland. It’s also quite simple.
I prefer OBS Studio. Been a while since I used it. Just did a quick test run.

I used OSB studio to record a gameplay of mine using Dolphin Emulator. For some reason it is getting blurry all the time when i use this emulator, every other game is working fine except this one. What can the issue be ?
