Screen with USB-C seem detected but dosen't turn on

I have a screen that could work on an usb-c, when I plug it into one of the two usb-c I have the screen stay black, and if I pop the built-in menu on the screen, the message “usb-c no signal” appear.

Here is my config:

Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.9.0
Kernel Version: 6.14.6-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 20 × 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13700H
Memory: 15,4 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics
Manufacturer: TUXEDO
Product Name: TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro Gen8 (MK1)

The log when I plug the usb-c and make the built-in menu appear:

❯ sudo dmesg -W

There are different “flavors” of USB-C cables, and they are NOT built the same. Make sure you’re using one rated for video content or at least 10GB/s data rate.
There are also some quirks in getting EnOS (and Wayland) to output to an external display. See this post for some ideas.
On the Tuxedo specs page here, it says this:

For connecting more than one monitor via Thunderbolt 4, we recommend using an USB-C-to-DisplayPort MST hub.

and for the left USB-C 3.2 port…

  • Monitor connection only possible with NVIDIA graphics, because the port is hardwired to it. No DisplayPort available without NVIDIA graphics.

So it may not support external displays on the left USB port if you didn’t get the model with Nvidia GPU. If you have an HDMI port, I’d use that…or get a Thunderbolt4 dock and plug it into the USB4 port on the right.

Indeed, I was able to get my hands on a 40gb/s and the screen works on the port I suspected to be the right one (the one on the right). Thanks for the help
