I have a Dell Inspiron 660s running EndeavourOS with a Radeon HD 8490. The computer’s screen is distorted sometimes (not all the time) after waking from sleep and the only way to solve it is to unplug then replug the DisplayPort cable. It does not seem like a PCI port issue as this also happened on another computer I plugged the GPU into (a Dell OptiPlex 3020).
The computer is a tri-boot (old pc used for experimental fun) between EndeavourOS, Windows, and Mageia Linux. It does not happen on Windows 10, so not really a hardware issue? The mouse cursor looks fine too in the screenshot, so the hardware has not failed.
Does it have something to do with KDE then? Even on the OptiPlex, the distortion would occur with KDE…
GPU driver loaded is radeon, not amdgpu because it is not supported. AMD CAICOS gpu architecture.
