Tried hplip with hp-setup but not working. I think thats because it is not a HP printer, it is a rebranded Samsung printer.
The only thing I see is while using scanimage .. I get the following output before it prints the list of devices:
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

function RedirectToSWS()
{
var debugMode = ("192.168.1.250".indexOf(".") > 0) ? false : true;
if(debugMode) {
location = "sws/index.html";
}
else {
location = "/sws/index.html";
}
}
RedirectToSWS();
//-->
</script>
</head>

On my Debian system this is not the case .. maybe something is missing on OS?
Phew. Iām at the end of my wits here, especially since I canāt directly test. In general, HP printers (and MFP) are said to be relatively painless with linux and hplip. But Iāve always opted for separate printers and scanners, so I really donāt know from own experience.
Nowadays, before buying anything (like my Fujitsu iX500 scanner), I check the SANE (and CUPS, for printers) database and make my buying decision dependent on existing Linux support.
Letās hope we have some knowledgeable people here that use a HP MFP device and can helpāanyone?
Thanks for your hints .. but did not help.
I disabled firewall for this testing completely.
My printer/scanner is visible in network. I can print/scan with network printing.
But as stated above: The network scanning only allows a scan resolution of 300dpi while scanning over usb allows 1200dpi.
I have the feeling it has something to do with the javascript message above and EOS cannot discover this ..
Nothing wrong with this, I have the same lines for my MFP 179. I donāt know what you mean by āthe list of devicesā, it should be one line showing the scanner, starting like this :
device `escl:https://192.168.1.250:443' is a HP something
my printer āHP ENVY 6400e All-In-One-Seriesā i did make a topic for my laptop >> Printer problem hp but is closed and those not working for my computer ,the printer i found a way to get it working but not print all formats ,my scanner not ?
