After an update this week, the Epson perfection V19 scanner stopped working. At the beginning of the week it was working properly and after a big update this week it is not working because the driver is missing! After reinstalling the driver no change still “driver missing”. I also tried Arch and CachyOS after updating this week Epson is not working anywhere from these Linux distributions!
Are you using Epson iscan
?
If yes, try to update your software. I saw an update for iscan
this afternoon. My V10 is working fine.
Yes I use iscan-plugin-gt-650 version 2.30.4-2. Cannot update because depency libstdc++5-3.3.6-10. No driver? scanimage -L display : “No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software”
Your version of iscan-plugin-gt-650
is outdated.
Please post the results of yay -Ss iscan | grep nstall
and lsusb
while the scanner is plugged in.
What happens if you run yay -Syu
? To me your main problem are the missing updates for iscan
and the iscan-driver.
`yay -Ss iscan | grep install" display prompt only

yay -Ss iscan | grep nstall
Unfortunately, it also only returns my prompt. Tested several times.
I have now managed to install libstdc++5-bin 3.3.6-32, so I hope to be able to install the new version of iscan-plugin. I’ll let you know
Yes Epson V19 scanning now . Thank you for your help
