Satisfactory (Game) Causes System Crash

Hello

I am trying to play satisfactory on my endevouros system! Unfortunately whenever I start the game the whole system crashes! Everything turns off, the fans the hard drives, only the led stays on which shows that the computer is turned on!

I tried updating the system!
I tried other distros, avery arch based distro crashes at the exact same moment, while others like Pop, mint works just fine!

Logs

My system is
Ryzen 7 3700x
32GB RAM 3200MHZ XMP profile
rx 470 8gb

P.S This is the only game that I found which crashes the system!

What can be the problem?

Thank you!

Welcome to the community @Bgf :wave::sunglasses: :enos_flag:

I run this using lutris solidly. My daughter and I have clocked up many hours of LAN play  (both EndeavourOS systems)

In Lutris, the settings applied to Satisfactory of note are:

  • Arguments = %command% -vulkan
  • Prefix architecture = 64-bit
  • Wine version = proton-ge-custom (install proton-ge-custom-bin)
  • Enable DXVK = DISABLED
  • Enable dgvoodoo2 = DISABLED

I believe the rest of the settings are default.

I imagine you should be able to use Steam. I just use Lutris so we can accomplish co-op LAN play, if you get my drift. You should also be able to select Proton GE as the compatibility tool (with proton-ge-custom-bin installed), and %command% -vulkan as the launch command.

Unfortunately before I bought the game I tried playing it through lutris! I got the exact same result! It crashed the whole pc!

I had issues initially too. I did need to tinker with the settings, resulting in the above.

Okay then I will try but I doubt that it will work! As I said that in the post other distros like mint and Pop wroks just fine using the default settings over steam(Proton ge + vulkan)

What’s the output of:

That looks fine, from what I can tell.

Let’s dig a bit deeper with system details. This will retrieve system, machine, CPU, memory, disks, partitions, sensor and general info, filtering out sensitive data.
