Running EOS guest vm under KVM - no audio

On a EOS system, I created a VM with Archlinux KDE Plasma. I used archinstall for that. I got a working VM but it had no audio. I found some discussion about that on the Arch forum, but it didn’t sound exactly what I was chasing.

Next I create a VM with EOS Plasma and that VM also was missing any sound. It behaved like sound was playing but nothing out of the speakers.

This sounds to be me like a bug in KVM/QEMU libvirt system. Sound in a VM used to work.

Anyone else notice this?
