If so, you might just be lucky, check your lsusb and verify with the list of fprint supported devices. The Thinkpad “T” and “P” series have traditionally always had good Linux support, unlike the IdeaPads.
I just posted how I set up my fingerprint reader on a Thinkpad T14 Gen 1. I’m using Cinnamon, but setup for KDE Plasma shouldn’t be too different I guess (you’ll probably have an extra file /etc/pam.d/kde to modify).
