Resolution stuck on 1024x768

I’ve installed endeavouros, but my… rather huge issue is that the resolution is stuck at on 1024x768. I’ve reinstalled the nvidia drivers, and tried xrandr but it showed this on the output step. I’m using the grub bootloader with KDE plastma as my DE, SDDM as my DM

[juno@juno-b450 ~]$ xrandr --output HDMI-A-1 --mode 1920x1080_60.00
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 21 (RRSetCrtcConfig)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 22
Current serial number in output stream: 22

nvidia-settings doesn’t have the options it should be having (it only has system information with graphics information under it, GPU 0(NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060) with Thermal Settings under it, application profiles, and nvidia-setttings configuration.

This is my infi -Fxz

I would like to note, on a previous install, nouveau drivers worked fine and the resolution was 1920x1080, but I don’t want to use nouveau drivers, and can’t, because the performance hit is just too much to overlook, especially on my more graphics intensive games, not to mention it has a few general bugs.

I’m genuinely going insane trying to fix this, I have been at it for hours.

does xrandr support wayland?

Welcome to the community! :vulcan_salute: :enos_flag:

Does your BIOS have the option to switch between “Hybrid” or “Discreet” Graphics?

Try changing it to “Hybrid” or something with similar wording, save the settings and reboot.

Hello!

I’m very stupid, didn’t realize this. Switched to xorg after another fresh reinstall and now my nvidia-settings show everything, but my resolution still can’t go up to 1080. Max it goes to is 1600x900.

I’m using a computer without integraded graphics, and no, my BIOS doesn’t have that

I just fixed it! Went into nvidia-settings and forced it in X Server Display Information.
