I am using KDE Plasma with EOS. Some applications use the GTK toolkit for their UI not the qt toolkit, unfortunately. By default EOS running KDE comes with only 3 GTK 3.0/4.0 themes. Breeze, Adwaita and Emacs.
I would like to know what other GTK 3.0/4.0 themes would go good with KDE themes. I typically use KDE dark themes like Breeze Dark, Breeze Dark Endeavour.
The two criteria that I am looking for good GTK 3.0/4.0 themes are
Less Eye strain and Eye Fatigue. White text on a black background provides very high value contrast, it is less readable and causes greater eye fatigue than black text on a white background especially when someone is spending more time in front of the monitor and parsing through a ton of text.
Works good with Plasma.
So please share your suggestions. What GTK3.0/4.0 themes do you use?
I would just look for some that suits you. I think I am using the space theme with kvantum but gtk I left as breeze and it still looks good. some themes will provide a gtk equilvent others wont
pick a theme to your likeing, the big 3 are, Dracula/Catppuccin,Nord and Ant dark. The key thing is to manually set the text color..avoid total white and black cause it in long term of usage can be hard on eyes.. Maybe not the most popular but surely best for eyes is Ant-dark (pastel green palette) when you install theme or any other you prefer, first thing to do is to go on Color section of theme and manually adjust color for certain components.
