Remove old kernel?

should I manually remove the old kernel after a new one is installed?

thanks

The way Arch works is that the kernels all have the same package name, so it will automatically be replaced.

To keep in mind tho is that the kernel is just like any other package in that there will always be older versions unless you clean them out (you can set that from the Welcome App).

The short version is “No, no need to, but keep your cache of old packages in check”.

thanks a lot
I’m cleaning the pacman cache from time to time (I have just to remember to do it)

You don’t have to remember to do it, this will make system remember it for you:

paccache

The Package cleanup configuration button configures the service to do it automatically and periodically.

srv

Just two selection, click OK and you’re done!
