I don t want to remove the app/s; just the icons in the menu. I tried alacarte, but the icons still show up in the applications menu. I m running Gnome de.
Use a “menu editor” to tweak the app menu including removing entries (w/o uninstall). If no menu editor is installed, then install a Gnome compatible one like “alacarte” or “MenuLibre”.
Curious. why say to use alacarte when my previous post states that I have already tried alacatrte…with no success.
I haven’t tried it, but have you looked at this extension?
