Rebuild plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc that is 62MB?

I recently came across .config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc and was surprised at the size of it (62MB). When I looked through the file I saw that the [ScreenMapping] section had an entry for files that are long gone. Is there anyway to have the system rebuild the file and remove files that are gone?

If I remember correctly macOS before X had an option to rebuild the desktop which did something similar. Even a 3rd party tool would be handy.

Thanks!

No. If there was, we should have heard  .

Users can delete it to reset changes to sync to the new Plasma version’s changes, but this requires the user to reconfigure the Plasma customizations previously made.

This question should be better posted upstream to KDE bugs, so they know they have to do something with this. :person_shrugging:
