If your laptop doesn’t have a sim card slot for mobile data, you could remove that package altogether.

pacman -Si modemmanager

I am on a desktop pc, so I see no purpose of this package for my situation. If I understand package correctly, it got installed automatically through gnome-control-center since I use GNOME as my desktop environment.

Will delete it for sure.
