A friend on Facebook messaged me this morning about the passing of Glen Hansard. He remembered I was a fan and listener of his music. I had not yet heard the news. A bit of a gut punch, to be honest. Hansard wasn’t a huge star here in the States, but he had his fans for sure. I have most of his material, solo, as well as his bands The Frames and The Swell Season. What a terrible loss.
I heard about Glen’s passing yesterday but just read what you linked now, so sad… first heard of him I think when the movie Once was being promoted. And he was there to help celebrate the life at the funeral of Shane MacGowan too. Haven’t listened to his music for some time now but must start again
