Quick question: Do I still need unzip when Ark is installed?

I also installed unrar and libunrar because I occasionally need to unpack rar archives. Ark seems to be able to handle it. What makes unzip better?

I don’t think you need unzip. However, some of the other tools are used by ark.

I think it is not about one being “better”, more a matter of what you prefer.

I don’t think so either. I just installed Ark on an Arch install and it gives me right click extract archive here etc.

If you use KDE, just enable “open archives as (in?) folders” in Dolphin. Problem solved. Just one click on the archive.
