Qemu/Kvm not working

Today Qemu/Kvm refuses to work. Connection is refused.
Details in virt-manager show

Unable to connect to libvirt qemu:///system.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass der »libvirtd«-Dienst läuft.

Libvirt URI is: qemu:///system

Trying to start libvirtd manually fails. Obviously, everything connected to libvirt fails to start.

Any push in the right direction is appreciated.
I assume, one of the recent (last 2 days?) updates causes the problem. Maybe there is a known issue, I’m not aware of.

Is your user account in the libvirt group?

Yes. libvirt and kvm. It used to run flawlessly until maybe two days ago. I didn’t change anything in the setup.

I just tried, if downgrading systemd solves the issue (there has been a recent update). No luck with this one.

This is the important part of the boot log

Just found out, which package contains this library. Already installed. Just testing and reporting.

sudo pacman -Fy
pacman -F libname.so

Thanks for your effort. Problem solved.
Strange this is. I didn’t delete this package. Maybe dependencies changed. I have to have a look, when the last qemu/kvm update was and which requirements the packages ask for.

Nothing was deleted. Just had a look at pacman history. Something changed. Trying to find out, what the problem is. Maybe it’s worth a bug report.

i do not have the package installed and i can run virtualmanager/qemu/gnomeboxes just fine … must be something you use in settings needing it?
