Was trying to update pulseaudio and pipewire as part of trying to use some noise cancellation software, but now I can’t seem to use pulseaudio at all - the pulseaudio volume control just tells me that it’s “establishing connection to pulseaudio”, and pulseaudio -D
gives me Daemon Startup Failed
.
The command pulseaudio -v
gave me this:
I: [pulseaudio] main.c: setrlimit(RLIMIT_NICE, (31, 31)) failed: Operation not permitted
I: [pulseaudio] main.c: setrlimit(RLIMIT_RTPRIO, (9, 9)) failed: Operation not permitted

EDIT: Trying to follow the command instructions from https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PulseAudio/Troubleshooting#Daemon_startup_failed didn’t seem to work for me.
I’m still getting audio from my headphones for videos in my browser, but I can’t adjust the volume, and game audio doesn’t seem to work (not for all my games anyway). What do I need to do to fix this?
