I’m currently setting up my machine and haven’t been able to get mounting external USB drives correctly to my system.
Here’s my problem and what I have done:
- Using
udiskie, external drives mount but in read-only mode. - Classic
mountdidn’t work either. - Repeated 1. and 2. with a combination of 5 USB-A/C ports and 3 different drives formatted in
exfatandntfsformats, always resulting in the same problem: “Read-only filesystem”. - Finally, brute forced
chown’ing the folder where the external drive was mounted and the drive itself, got the same outcome as 3.
Additional info:
mount >> log.txt && cat /etc/fstab >> log.txt && cat log.txt | eos-sendlog
