Just a stab in the dark but what happens if you reinstall hicolor-icon-theme as it seems to be having an issue with this

Just so you know you wouldn’t have a good time gaming on XFCE as it would stutter the absolute shits and giggles out . For gaming you should install a XFCE compositor name Compiz and enable it and as for lutris ,
try running sudo downgrade lutris and choose version 0.5.13 . Try running and see if it works.

I see, didn’t know xface was so bad for gaming I was just testing some stuff, but will try what you told me tomorrow because now is late and have to work. Thank you so much for taking your time to help, I’ll post results tomorrow.

Not technically bad , just the compositor is crap , can be fixed by using Compiz . Also setting up Compiz might be a hassle for you e.g window effects in Compiz , not tough , just requires patience and time . For a more easy and stable experience from the point of view for gaming and general use , consider GNOME , KDE , Cinnamon .
