Hi
Have a problem:
If i do a online install, the PC will boot to a black screen with an underscore, no TTY.
If i do a offline install, i can boot the pc, but if i upgrade packages, same result: blackscreen with whiteunderscore, no TTY.
In the online install installed gnome, in the offline it was xfce.
Hardware information:
inxi -Fxxc0z --no-host | eos-sendlog
Boot log:
journalctl -b -0 | eos-sendlog

Welcome to the purple side of the internet!
Some things come to mind:
- Are you sure TTY cannot be reached by pressing e.g. Ctrl-Alt-F2 when you have black screen with underscore?
- You can use the USB installer stick to boot and then arch-chroot to the installed system. There you can run practically any terminal command. For example see this: https://discovery.endeavouros.com/system-rescue/arch-chroot/2022/12/
- Please show the result of:
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | eos-sendlog

Do you have package xf86-video-intel installed?
https://0x0.st/oRqx.txt
The current installation was made with offline. On first reboot, update using welcome app
Do you have a second monitor hooked up?
no 2nd monitor.
Just got the system up and running but had to switch kernell. Switch to lts and it’s working
Strange as your Intel graphics are nothing special. It just HD 620. Maybe it’s mesa causing the issue?
humm, maybe…
I got this problem with a system upgrade and then i decided to “clean” my disk from some OS
and got the same issue.
So downgrade mesa?
I don’t know you could always try and see if it will work on the newer kernel.
No luck.
I’m keeping the LTS, at least until next year
Thank you all for the help.
Happy new year
