Hello, my HP MFP135wg printer is driving me to despair.
It has been added and is being displayed, and it prints too—though it only prints the error message “PWG ERROR, ERROR CODE 11-1114”.
I’ve already tried all the solutions I could find, but nothing worked. Before switching to Endevour, I used openSUSE Tumbleweed and Fedora, and the printer worked fine there. On Arch (I even tried CachyOS), I just can’t get it running.
I’ve currently reinstalled SUSE because I need the printer. If I could get a reliable tip or some help regarding the MFP135, I’d switch back to Arch and immediately—I had everything else working perfectly there!
While most HP printers rely on hplip, the MFP 135 series is a rebranded Samsung printer. It is not supported by default via HPLIP; standard hp-setup tools will fail.

USB: Select the HP Laser MFP 135wg entry from the local list.

Network/Wi-Fi: Select the AppSocket/HP JetDirect option or use the discovered network option.

When prompted to select a driver model, scroll down to HP and select the HP Laser MFP 13x Series driver provided by the newly installed hpuld package.
If you prefer a standard settings menu, install the native configuration wrapper:
sudo pacman -S system-config-printer
Launch system-config-printer, click Add, select your detected device, and map it to the HP Laser MFP 13x Series driver.
Configure the scanner
sudo pacman -S sane xsane
Enable the smfp driver backend by editing the SANE configuration file:
sudo nano /etc/sane.d/dll.conf
Scroll down and verify if smfp is on the list. If it isn’t there, add a new line containing exactly:
