till reboot, after reboot - it does not matter.
I mean - it was tested before and after.
In 3-4 sec. after Apply is automatically “unchecked”.
What can I do?
More vodka (wisky ?) to drink???

have you tried … the hp tools already ?
sudo hp-setup -i
sudo hp-setup -i *ip_address*

How can i find out ip-address of printer?

Miracle
Now with cable works !!!???
For WLAN is there hope?
OR hopeless?

I don’t have time to read this entire Topic. I suggest to eliminate one more item, go right to the Printer, and using the LCD screen on the printer itself, and check if a static IP address was ever entered into the Printer?

Yes, here is much info.
Shortly.
One mini PC, 2 notebooks.
1 week ago all had EOS und every can print (HP) -WLAN.
After new install (all 3) all have this strange problem.
Then on one notebook was installed Manjaro.
And Manjaro has no problem with printer - the same printer, HP, with WLAN.
Through http://localhost:631 in 2 min. you can printing.
You do not need any witchcraft.
Why ?
I don’t understand…

Manjaro is not on the same versions as arch itself they do hold back packages, so could be you will get the same issue with Manjaro in a week

And i have no clue if Manjaro has local hostname resolution enabled per default nor what firewall is in use and how it is setup.

IPP and IPP-client on firewalls must be open and local hostname resolution has to be enabled and working. The firewall can be disabled also which would have the ports open too.

And to set up a network printer with hp-tools it needs to provide the IP of the printer you can get this over the printer display or from your Router interface and you would need to have it set up to be connected to the router if it is wireless… for what you have to set up the printer with a needed key to get connected to the local network.
