Post your pacman -Qm

Thanks for the Traveling Typewriter font suggestion.
I also love and use Erikas Farbband by Peter Wiegel.

Does Espanso work well on EOS? Seeing you having the Wayland version.

What’s the benefit in installing flutter like this?

beyondallreason-appimage 1.2988.0-3
freeoffice 1224-1
mcomix 3.1.0-1
microsoft-edge-beta-bin 136.0.3240.14-1
viber 23.2.0.3-2
whatsapp-for-linux 1.7.0-1

Flutter (don’t even know what that is) was auto-installed when installing quickgui, a useless frontend to quickemu, hundreds of MB just for one GUI app. I’m just now sitting here removing all that stuff again.

Looks much better now:

anydesk-bin 7.0.0-1
cinnamon-sounds 1.8.9-1
geany-plugin-preview 0.1.2-1
hw-probe 1.6.6-1
ibus-autostart 1.3-1

pamac-aur 11.7.2-3
quickemu 4.9.7-1

Oh okay, I just develop with flutter and I don’t install it from the AUR. Looked into it, I don’t think it offers any benefits to install it from the AUR. It’s even out of date.

btw how easy is to install windows 11 with quickemu?

No idea, I do keep a copy for support but otherwise find no reason to install Windows, since 13 years now. Worked well using VirtualBox, I remember. Guess you’d have to do some tweaks to outsmart their hardware & secure boot lock-in, though.

No problems on KDE plasma here.

Cheers, that’s good to know! Been using Espanso on Mint forever, and of course it should be installed on my new EOS machines, too…

I agree, I think it is nice they made a GUI I guess but it seems kind of unnecessary. Quickemu is so simple to use, and the docs are very straightforward if there is an advanced configuration need so I can’t see the GUI bringing much to the table.

It looks to be incredibly easy:

Basically two commands to get started, and then there is a config you can tweak if needed (same as most Quickemu guests).

I have 12. Is that good?

I just saw this thread pop up again. So I noticed that my pacman -Qm from 25 days ago is different from today. Yet, I’ve made no changes since then.

What is the advantage of bitwarden-bin from AUR versus bitwarden from extra?

There was an issue several months ago where Bitwarden from Extra failed logging in, effectively making it useless. AUR bin version worked fine. I guess I never thought about switching back since I’ve had no issues.

OK, understand.

My list keeps growing, unfortunately, while I slowly try to make this a “usable” machine (for me). A few things will go eventually, like pamac-aur, open-adventure  , but others will come. Most of my music tools and all LaTeX stuff are still missing.
